Welcome!
The Church of Loreto is a special devotion of the Italian people,
to Our Lady Mother of Jesus in the Holy Family of Nazareth.
This is the Lauretan sense which presides over this Church where the Lord awaits you with love
to embrace you in the joy of a meeting of communion.
The artistic beauties of this building are a tangible, yet simple, sign of the infinite Beauty of God.
We hope that your visit and admiration will express itself in openness to prayer
and adoration of Christ, present in the Sacrament of the Eucharist.
And let the non-believer allow himself to be recollected for a moment
to "listen" to the silence and peace of this place,
in an encounter with the mystery guarded in his heart.

Our Lady of Loreto Lisbon
Prayer to Our Lady of Loreto
Flame, O Virgin Mary,
the lamp of faith in every house of the world.
Give every mother and father
Your purest heart,
so that they fill the houses
of the Light and Love of God.
Help us, o Mother of the Yes,
to pass on the Good News
to new generations
that God saves us in Jesus,
giving us His Spirit of Love.
May the song of the Magnificat
never be extinguished on earth,
but continue from generation to generation
through the little and the humble, the meek,
the merciful and the pure of heart,
who full of trust
await the Glorious Coming of Jesus,
blessed fruit of thy womb.
Ô Merciful One,
Ô Sweet Always Virgin Mary!
Amen.
Angelo Comastri Archbishop of Loreto
